Refuge Mt No. 3 Hut

This is one of the best huts we have seen in the highcountry; A nice double story hut with an large upstairs area for sleeping, table in the bottom story and decent fireplace. There is a small out house about 50metres from the hut. The hut is well constructed, has a timber floor and well sealed from the elements. Located between Tomahawk and Bus Huts.

Refuge Hut was build for Cross Country Ski's as a Safety Hut to escape the weather. Set back slightly off the road.
