FORD'S ageing Courier acquires new wings in the form of a gutsy V6 option. Mated on some models to a no-charge five-speed automatic gearbox, it aims to increase the light truck's appeal to metro buyers. The company hopes the V6 variant will help reach 8000 sales in 2005. But with the high-flying Holden Rodeo and an all-new Toyota Hi-Lux imminent, it'll be a tough call for the Courier to eclipse last year's record 7077 tally.
